PEACE PLUS - Local Community Action Plan
Consultation has concluded
Belfast City Council has been invited to participate in the PEACEPLUS programme under investment Area 1.1 Local Community Action Plan. The Special EU Programmes Body (SEUPB) have provisionally allocated up to €17,437,277 for Belfast City Council’s PEACEPLUS Local Community Action Plan to fund community activities and infrastructure projects that help build peace and reconciliation.
To secure this funding we must submit a co-designed local action plan. Over the past few months, we have been working with communities and partners across the city, holding several public workshops, to start to develop an outline PEACEPLUS Local Community Action Plan. Building upon the previous peace programmes, we will develop a programme that aims to tackle ongoing challenges and new opportunities in the following thematic areas:
- Local Community Regeneration and Transformation
- Thriving and Peaceful Communities
- Celebrating cultures and diversity
We now need your help to further refine and develop this plan. Your knowledge and experience will help this plan make a real difference to peace and good relations in Belfast.
Please take a few minutes to share your views on what you feel are the peace building priorities for Belfast and how you might become engaged in the programme by completing our survey
This survey closed on 15th December 2022
Please note: projects supported by the PEACEPLUS Action Plan should deliver on a cross community basis and result in shared and inclusive local services, facilities and spaces that make a significant and lasting contribution to peace and reconciliation.
