What is PEACEPLUS?
The PEACEPLUS Programme is a €1.14bn investment in the social, economic and environmental development of Northern Ireland and the border counties of Ireland.
It is funded by the European Union and is managed by the Special EU Programmes Body.
It comprises six themes and 21 individual investment areas.
What are the thematic areas for funding?
Overall, there are six thematic areas under the PEACEPLUS Programme:
Theme 1: Building peaceful and thriving communities |
Theme 2: Delivering economic regeneration and transformation |
Theme 3: Empowering and investing in our young people |
Theme 4: Healthy and inclusive communities |
Theme 5: Supporting a sustainable and better connected future |
Theme 6:Building and embedding partnership and collaboration |

What is the PEACEPLUS Local Community Action Plan
The PEACEPLUS Local Community Action Plan sets out what each district council area will do to help deliver shared and inclusive local services, facilities and spaces, or to make a significant and lasting contribution to peace and reconciliation.
These plan falls under Investment Area 1.1: Co-designed local community peace plan and designed to help each local community partnerships across Northern Ireland and border counties to develop and deliver priority projects on a cross community basis.
