Consultation has concluded
Every year, councils in Northern Ireland must publish an improvement plan that sets out improvement actions for the year ahead. This is a legal obligation referred to as our Duty to Improve.
Our Improvement Plan will not include everything that we plan to do in a given year, but instead focuses on a smaller set of key "improvement objectives".
This is your chance to have your say on our proposed improvement objectives for 2023-24. Are we focusing on the right things, is anything missing or do you have ideas about what we need to do to achieve these improvements?
Please tell us what you think of our proposed improvement objectives and improvement actions by completing our short survey below. We will use your feedback to finalise our Improvement Plan 2023-24.
Our proposed improvement objectives are summarised below. You can read more about what we are proposing to do under each objective by clicking here or on the links on the side of this page.
Our services and facilities
Maintain, and where appropriate, improve resident satisfaction with the council and the services
Our communities
Improve our local areas and enhance how we engage and support residents so everyone can enjoy good quality of life
Our economy
Help small businesses, including social enterprises and co-operatives, to develop and grow, and by doing so, help create opportunities for local jobs and employment
Our environment
Help tackle climate change by protecting our natural environment and improving the sustainability of Belfast
Our city
Revitalise our city and help it to innovate in an inclusive and sustainable way
