In March 2024, the Community Planning Partnership published an updated Belfast Agenda for 2024-2028.
The Belfast Agenda is the city’s community plan. A community plan is an important document as it sets the framework for what will happen in the Belfast area. It is a shared, strategic plan for the city and guides the actions and plans of partner organisations across Belfast.
The Belfast Agenda is an ambitious plan that helps public service providers work better together, and with communities and other organisations, to deliver real improvements for local people. First published in 2017, it sets out an agreed vision for what we want Belfast to be like in 2035 and the key things (outcomes) we want to achieve.
Following a two-year period of extensive consultation and engagement with partners, residents and other stakeholders, the Community Planning Partnership updated the Belfast Agenda to reflect current priorities, challenges and opportunities.
Detailed action plans set out what we will do over the next four years to help achieve our shared vision for Belfast. These action plans are focused on the following themes:
Our people
Our economy
Our place
Our planet
Compassionate city
