At the voting event each project idea will set up a table or 'market stall' that you can visit to find out more about what they want to do and why. After learning about each project, you will be asked to vote for the projects you'd like to see happen in your area. To make the voting fair for everyone involved, you'll be given a set number of votes that you must use. The number of votes and winning projects will depend on how many applications are received. You must vote for more than one project, and you cannot put all or more than one vote toward a single project. You must also use all of your votes for them to count. The PB team will be there to help you on the day and explain the voting process.
If you are part of a market stall, you can vote once for your own project, but you must also use your full allocation of votes and choose other projects too. Otherwise, your vote won't count.
The projects with the most public votes will be awarded up to £2,500 to make their Take 5 idea happen.
Participatory Budgeting (or PB) gives residents a direct say in the decisions that affect them. Come along and have your say!
