Proposed lockable pedestrian gate

As part of the scheme, we are planning to install a lockable pedestrian gate to allow direct access from the Distillery Street area to the Westlink pathway, bridge and Forth Meadow Community Greenway. We would like to hear your views on the proposed re-installation of a pedestrian gate from the Distillery Street site. Your feedback will help us decide on a possible location for the gate and its operating hours. We envisage a soft opening of the gate with limited opening hours progressing to longer hours.

1.

Please tell us whether you agree or disagree with the proposal to install a lockable pedestrian gate through the Westlink interface wall?

2.

In the first instance, are there certain times that you'd prefer the pedestrian gate to be open?

Preferred location for the pedestrian gate

We have identified two possible locatons for the gate - one at the bottom of Roden Street and the other on the Westlink interface wall. Have a look at our photos page to see the proposed locations and an artist impression showing what the gates might look like. Please note, the photos are for illustration only and any final gate and surrounding area will be fully reveloped and made more attractive.

3.

What is your preferred location for the pedestrian gate?
