Help shape the future of public sector innovation across the Belfast City Region

We are excited to announce the Belfast Region City Deal (BRCD) Contracts for Innovation (CfI) Programme - a new £4.3m regional opportunity to help councils across the Belfast Region tackle important public sector challenges in new ways.

As part of this, we are now looking for prospective Challenge Owners from across the six partner councils to take part in the CfI Readiness Module: a supported 6-week development sprint designed to help participants understand the CfI model, explore what it means to lead a challenge, and build the confidence and capability to do so effectively.

    This is a chance to play a leading role in a major new regional programme, work on challenges that matter locally, and strengthen your ability to drive innovation in practice. 

    Session dates:

    • 9 September 2026- all day, in person at Belfast City Hall
    • 16 September 2026 - half day, virtual 
    • 23 September 2026- half day, virtual 
    • 30 September 2026- half day, virtual 
    • 7 October 2026- half day, virtual 
    • 19 October 2026- all day, in person at Belfast City Hall
