Privacy notice Festival of Learning Events

Belfast City Council is the Data Controller under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for any personal data it gathers for the purposes of managing and delivering the Festival of Learning events.

BCC accepts that if you provide contact personal data, this is carried out on the basis of consent, and you are positively agreeing for it to be held in order to contact you for follow up or confirm information provided. A contact name or email will only be used for the purpose stated. 

Your personal data will not be shared or disclosed to any other person or external organisation without your consent unless the law permits or places an obligation on the BCC to do so. Personal data may be shared internally with council staff who are involved in administering and managing the Learning City initiative and associated mailing list.  

Personal data is held and stored by the Council in a safe and secure manner and in compliance with the UK General Data Protection Regulations and in line with the Council’s Records Retention and Disposal Schedule.
