We want to invite residents, businesses, and community groups to take part in our new Alleyway Transformation Project pilot.

This project helps neighbours work together to improve underused alleyways in Belfast. We will provide support packages to help you:

  • Green grey spaces with plants
  • Cluttered to Clean
  • Social space
  • Organise community events and skills workshops
  • Improve safety by adding things like lighting


Pilot Phase

The pilot will run from July to December 2026.We are looking for neighbourhoods and groups ready to:

  • Share their vision for their alleyway
  • Work with the council to make it happen
  • Give feedback to help us design future programmes
