Belfast City Council has appointed Involve and Community Places, independent public participation consultants, to help us develop a co-design framework for Belfast, which will help us improve our approach to involving our people and communities in decision-making that may affect them.  As part of that process, Involve and Community Places will manage and facilitate four workshops on our behalf.

Belfast City Council is the Data Controller under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) for the personal data gathered for the purpose of administering your expression of interest, and if appropriate your registration and participation in the workshops.

The personal data may be shared internally with Involve, Community Places, and council staff who are involved in administering and managing this project.

You are consensually providing your personal data to the Council whose lawful basis for processing is for the performance of a task carried out in the public interest or in the exercise of official authority.

Your personal data will not be shared or disclosed to any other council department or external organisation without your consent, unless the law permits or places an obligation on the Council to do so.  The personal data is held and stored in accordance with UK data protection legislation and in line with the council’s Records Retention and Disposal Schedule.

If you have any queries regarding the processing of your personal data, please contact flynnp@belfastcity.gov.uk. If you wish to contact the council’s Data Protection Officer, please write to Belfast City Council, City Hall, Belfast, BT1 5GS or send an email to dataprotection@belfastcity.gov.uk.
