We're looking at how best to collect feedback from our residents. One way to do this is through a resident survey. We're currently looking at what sort of questions we should ask. Based on how other cities run their surveys, we're keen to capture resident opinion in relation to things like:
Living in Belfast
Your local area
Your quality of life and wellbeing
Satisfaction with Belfast City Council.
If you'd be interested in filling in a survey such as this, please add your email details using "Stay Informed - subscribe" button so we can send you updates about the survey.
Please note, your email will be held securely on the platform and cannot be accessed by council staff or used for any other purpose other than to notify you about updates on our proposed resident survey.

Thank you for taking the time to contact us.
Belfast City Council is not responsible for roads and pavements. However, I have passed your comments to our Belfast Agenda Team who work with partners across the city including the Department for Infrastructure who is responsible for roads and footpaths, and the Department for Communities who is responsible for the Belfast Streets Ahead programme. As part of our Belfast Agenda work, we encourage our residents to continue to share ideas or concerns.
I have also passed your comment on to our City Regeneration and Development Team who manage our Vacant to Vibrant grant scheme and various other support for business initiatives.
kind regards

We are still finalising the questions for inclusion as part of this initial survey. The Belfast Community Planning Partnership is keen to monitor how people commute to work, places of study, or when visiting Belfast, and this is something that we are considering. We are trying to determine the best way to ask questions without creating an unduly long survey. Another option might be to run shorter surveys throughout the year based around themes, like for example, transport and active travel.
I have passed your comment to my colleagues who are working on the survey, and who are happy to hear feedback such as this.
