The PEACE IV Programme aims to help create new shared civic spaces for use by all sections of the community; this could involve changes in both attitudes and behaviour with corresponding reduction in segregation. The spaces identified have the potential to become shared amenity spaces where communities can share and join together in new positive leisure activities in a quality environment. For the purposes of this project it has been divided into the following sections:

Section 1 – (East) Clarendon/Glen Cairn to Ballygomartin
Section 2 – Ballygomartin to Springfield Road
Section 3 – Springfield Road to Whiterock Road
Section 4 – Whiterock Road to Broadway
Section 5 – Broadway to Belfast Transport Hub

The completed scheme will deliver a “necklace” of high quality, safe, shared spaces and Greenway networks, enhancing linkages between communities and promoting sustainable transport opportunities

Section 2 of the route runs from Ballygomartin Road to Springfield Road.
