We’re investing £105 million over the next ten years to improve our leisure centres, programmes and services. This is a unique opportunity to improve the health and wellbeing of our city, by delivering a quality service that meets the needs of our communities.

As part of the Leisure Transformation Programme we're investing £25 million for a new state-of-the-art leisure facility to replace the existing Andersonstown Leisure Centre.

Following community consultation and advice from a range of industry experts, we have taken the decision that the new centre will focus largely on water based family fun.

The agreed facilities are :

  • large family fun focused area of leisure water
  • 25m six lane pool with 50 spectator seats
  • learner pool
  • confidence water for small children and toddlers
  • 140 station fitness suite
  • exercise studios
  • spin studio
  • café
  • outdoor five-a-side pitches

Why We Are Consulting

Following on from our consultation last September/October we have now refined the designs for the new centre and we are inviting people, groups and organisations to view the new plans and provide feedback on this exciting new development.
