Who is being consulted?

The council will also engage with relevant stakeholders, including:

    • Community organisations local to Olympia Leisure Centre
    • Belfast City Council staff and GLL staff
    • Stakeholder Groups of the Irish Language and Ulster Scots communities

We will also make our Migrants’ Forum, Disability Advisory Panel, Sign Language Users’ Forum and Shared City Partnership aware of the consultation.

The consultation is published on our online consultation platform, Your Say Belfast, and is open to everyone, but especially those who live, work, study visit or have a business in Belfast.

What might the signage look like?

You can see examples of what the signage looks like in the photos below.  You will see that there is already a pictorial element to signage in our leisure centres and this will remain unchanged.

What is the cost of the signage?

It is not possible to say for certain what the cost of the signage will be because the detail of the signage will be a decision for Elected Members but we anticipate that the cost of erecting bilingual external and internal directional signage at Olympia will be no more than £5,000.
