Why has the VCSE Panel been established?

The VCSE Sectoral Advisory Panel was established to increase representation and participation of Belfast's third sector within the community planning process. The first Panel was formally established in Spring 2020.

    How were Panel members selected?

The VCSE Sectoral Advisory Panel consists of 30 members who were appointed following an open call selection process managed independently by NICVA on behalf of the Community Planning Partnership.  The representatives were drawn from Belfast's large and diverse voluntary, community and social enterprise sectors, reflecting a spread of themes, areas of the city, and large and small organisations.

How long is the Panel’s term of membership?

Following an open call and selection process, the Panel now enters its second term (2025-2029). Membership of the Panel is initially for a 4-year term.
