Update on Phase 1 - We Asked, You Said, We Did...

During phase 1 of the Belfast Agenda: Continuing the Conversation engagement programme, we heard many views from all parts of the city. We listened to your views and analysed this together with relevant strategies, plans and research and data. Some of the key findings from this first phase are:

  • there was broad agreement that the existing long-term vision and outcomes are still relevant
  • the importance of ongoing public engagement was emphasised
  • the importance of accountability and measuring outcomes. The Partnership will look at how we can provide more regular performance reporting. By getting involved in phase 2 you can help shape how we measure progress.
  • we heard that terminology is important. Therefore we have changed the names of some of the priorities
  • participants discussed spatial and social disconnection across the city and the need to include city development as an additional priority area

You can read more about this phase including the feedback reports here.

This phase of the engagement has now concluded.

We are currently updating the Belfast Agenda to take account of what we heard and will issue a refreshed Agenda for public consultation later in the spring.
