Your privacy and how we will use your data

Belfast City Council is the Data Controller under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for any personal data it gathers for the purposes of managing and delivering Go Succeed.

BCC is collecting and analysing the data on behalf of the 11 district councils in Northern Ireland (the councils). The information you provide will help the councils evaluate the impact and effectiveness of the programme.

You are not asked to provide any personal data, but if you do, the personal data you provide consensually will be held and stored by the Council in a safe and secure manner and in compliance with the UK General Data Protection Regulations and in line with the Council’s Records Retention and Disposal Schedule.

As part of the analysis and reporting, we may share written comments and aggregated results with the councils and other relevant partner agencies; or publish summarised results (which may include your comments) in the public domain. If we do this, no personal data or personal information will be shared or disclosed.

Your personal data will not be shared or disclosed to any other person or external organisation without your consent unless the law permits or places an obligation on the BCC to do so. Personal data may be shared internally with council staff who are involved in managing and promoting Go Succeed.

If you have any queries regarding the processing of your personal data, please email policy@belfastcity.gov.uk.  If you wish to contact the Council’s Data Protection Officer, please write to Belfast City Council, City Hall, Belfast BT1 5GS or send an email to dataprotection@belfastcity.gov.uk
