    Belfast City Council is the data controller under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for any personal data gathered from this survey.  

    You are not asked to provide any personal data, but if you do, the personal data you provide consensually will be held and stored by the Council in a safe and secure manner and in compliance with data protection legislation and in line with the Council’s Records Retention and Disposal Schedule. 

    What we do with your information

    As part of the analysis and reporting, we will share written comments and aggregated results with the Department for Infrastructure (DfI). However, no personal data or personal information will be shared or disclosed.     

    Although the survey asks for your postcode (optional), this information will only be used by the Council for the purpose of measuring the level of response from that location and will not be further processed or shared with DfI.

    Sharing your information with others

    Survey results may be shared internally within the Council with staff who are involved in administering the survey and where applicable for responding to any requests for further information.   

    Anonymous survey responses will be shared with the Department for Infrastructure (DfI) for Northern Ireland, who have given approval for the council to undertake this survey. The purpose of the survey is to seek the views of those living in the general area regarding the proposed installation of a controlled crossing at Knockbreda Road, Belfast.

    Your personal data will not be shared or disclosed to any other organisation without your consent unless the law permits or places an obligation on the Council to do so.
