Forth Meadow Community Greenway - Civic Education
Consultation has concluded
Forth Meadow Community Greenway is a new £5.1 million EU PEACE IV-funded project that will connect parks and other open spaces in north and west Belfast along a 12 km network of shared walking and cycling paths from Clarendon Playing Fields, through Springfield Dam and onto the new Transport Hub in Belfast City Centre.
The aim is to connect neighbourhoods, encouraging residents to make more use of facilities in neighbouring communities and promote use of the shared spaces through cross-community projects and activities.
A planned Youth Civic Education project will give young people, from all community backgrounds, the opportunity to discuss and address issues and concerns that affect them (e.g. sectarianism/ racism, suicide, drug/ alcohol abuse, youth violence, isolation, the environment, etc.), with the aim of helping them towards making informed decisions about their own future and that of other young people living and socialising along Forth Meadow Community Greenway.
For more information on the Greenway, see here: www.belfastcity.gov.uk/forthmeadow
Belfast City Council is seeking views from young adults living local to the Greenway on what would be useful to them in a Civic Youth Education project, to help us design the project. PEACE IV would be grateful if you could help us by completing the following survey.
