We are seeking expressions of interest from staff (below Chief Officer) who would like to work at the upcoming Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann, taking place from Sunday 2 August to Sunday 9 August.
This event is an exciting opportunity to support the delivery the world’s biggest celebration of Irish music and culture while gaining valuable experience in event operations, customer service, and cultural engagement.
Roles and Responsibilities
Event Team roles and responsibilities may include:
- Event Controllers based in Fleadh Event Control
- On-the-ground operational support in Zones across the City Centre working in or leading Zone Teams
- Offer operational support in specific venues or event locations such as stage and site managers
- Corporate support, including helping with accreditation and administration, courtesy vehicle management
Hours of work and rates of pay
Staff expressing an interest should be aware that working hours, particularly start and finish times and working days, may need to change temporarily during the course of the Fleadh. Roles which need to be filled for more than 9 hours will be divided into shifts. Task dependent, these shifts may run from 5 hours upwards.
For staff selected to work, you will be paid your normal pay. If you work additional hours you might be able to avail of TOIL or our normal premium rates of pay will apply. Other allowances you may already receive will remain unchanged regardless of any new temporary arrangements during this period.

Submitting an expression of interest does not guarantee placement; allocations will be made based on operational requirements, availability, and relevant experience.
Please speak to your line manager before submitting your expression of interest to discuss any limitations to your availability. In any event, all offers made will be subject to approval by the relevant Director who will be required to consider that the offer can be accommodated without any negative impacts on business as usual operations.
