Knockbreda Road - pedestrian crossing
In 2020 Belfast City Council completed a public consultation exercise relating to the potential opening of the gate at Cherryvale Park from Knockbreda Road. Following this consultation, the Council engaged with the Department for Infrastructure (DfI) about potential road safety concerns which emerged from this consultation. As a result, Belfast City Council has been asked by the DfI to carry out a further consultation with local residents, both living on and in the vicinity of Knockbreda Road, regarding the proposed installation of a controlled pedestrian crossing.
The purpose of this survey is to help assess whether there is local support for a pedestrian crossing, and to understand any issues or concerns that residents may have.

The anonymous survey results will be collated and used by the Council for the purpose of gauging public views and opinion, and ensuring those views and opinions are considered by DfI before they decide whether or not the installation will proceed.
Although the survey asks for your postcode (optional), this information will only be used by the Council for the purpose of measuring the level of response from that location and will not be further processed or shared with DfI. This consultation closes on 7 April 2025.
