Consultation has concluded
Every year, councils in Northern Ireland must publish an improvement plan that sets out improvement objectives for the year ahead. This is a legal obligation referred to as our Duty to Improve.
Our Improvement Plan does not include everything that we plan to do in a given year, but instead focuses on a smaller set of key "improvement objectives" and a range of associated actions.
Please tell us what you think of our proposed improvement objectives and actions by completing our short survey below. This will help us to ensure that we are focusing on the right things and that appropriate arrangements are in place to achieve them. We will use your feedback to finalise our Improvement Plan 2024-25.
Our proposed improvement objectives are summarised below. You can read more about what we are proposing to do under each objective by accessing the survey or by clicking on the links on the side of this page.
Our services
We will continue to adapt and improve our services to better meet the needs of our residents and stakeholders.
Our people and communities
We will improve our local areas and support our residents to become healthier, engaged and more resilient.
Our place
We will create a more vibrant, attractive, and connected city.
Our planet
We will champion climate action; protect the environment and improve the sustainability of Belfast.
Our economy
We will stimulate inclusive growth and innovation, help businesses to start-up and grow and create opportunities for more and better jobs and employment.
Compassionate city
We will support our residents through the cost-of-living crisis.
Thank you in advance for taking the time to complete this short survey.
