Consultation has concluded

The Draft Belfast Economic Strategy sets an outline roadmap for the growth and development of Belfast’s economy from 2022 to 2030. It defines a set of levers to accelerate growth and create impact for local communities. The aim of this Economic Strategy is to deliver the promise of Belfast’s economic potential and position it as a driver for prosperity and growth across NI.

Through this strategy we want to deliver sustainable and inclusive growth for the city and lay the foundations for the development of key technologies that will drive growth in the economy of the future. This draft strategy is about defining Belfast City Council’s priorities for growth and re-focusing on our strengths.

Through the development of the draft strategy, we have engaged with many internal and external stakeholders and will continue to build on these partnerships to develop an integrated delivery model.

Our Elected Members have approved the draft strategy for public consultation (please review the Belfast Economic Strategy Executive Summary for more information). We now want to engage as many people as possible in shaping the final strategy. Please tell us your views by filling in our short survey below.

The closing date for the survey has been extended to 23 January.
