What is the purpose of this consultation?
We are required to formally consult on our draft Disability Action Plan 2026-2029.
We also have the full version and the Easy Read version of the draft Disability Action Plan in the Documents section.
The draft Disability Action Plan 2026-2029 is a legal document and includes actions the Council will deliver to change positive attitudes towards disabled people and increase participation. We want to gather your views on our outcomes and actions.
We also want to start a conversation about what an accessible and inclusive Belfast would look like. Conversations are where change starts to happen and we need to understand who should be involved. We also know that Disabled people face barriers in their everyday lives. We can’t fix every issue; we need to listen and learn.
You can provide your views by completing the below survey and/or take part in one of our engagement events. We have engagement events planned across the city to allow people to have their say.
